We are delighted that St. Clement’s College has recently received a new greenhouse from BMP Garden. This greenhouse gives students and staff a dedicated space to explore gardening, plant care and the natural growing process.
A school greenhouse creates valuable hands-on learning opportunities. Students can plant seeds, water young plants and watch them develop over time. As a result, they can better understand where vegetables, herbs and flowers come from.
In addition, looking after plants encourages responsibility and teamwork. Students can share tasks, monitor growth and learn how regular care supports healthy plants.
The new St. Clement’s College greenhouse can support a range of school gardening activities. For example, students may grow herbs, vegetables, flowers or seedlings for outdoor areas.
Furthermore, the greenhouse provides a sheltered place for plants during changing weather. Therefore, it can help students continue their gardening activities throughout much of the year.
At BMP Garden, we are pleased to see schools create opportunities for young people to connect with nature. Gardening can build confidence, encourage curiosity and teach useful practical skills.
